The revised stopping arrangements are designed to make the service more accessible for people travelling to work, education and other destinations along the route, according to Stagecoach.

Exeter’s Sowton Park and Ride bus will call at additional stops across the city from Monday, November 2, after passengers asked Stagecoach for changes.

The PR1 service, which runs between Sowton Park and Ride and the city centre, will give customers more options for getting on and off the bus and improve access to destinations across Exeter, the company said.

Travelling towards the city centre, buses will serve Sowton Park and Ride, Middlemoor, Nelson Way, Heavitree Bridge, Heavitree Shops, St Luke’s Campus and Paris Street.

In the other direction, they will serve Paris Street, Sidwell Street (stop 23), Cheeke Street, Waitrose, Heavitree Co-op, Heavitree Bridge, Nelson Way, Ringswell Park, Middlemoor, Digby Arch and Sowton Park and Ride.

Peter Knight, managing director of Stagecoach South West, said: “We’ve also listened to customers using our Sowton Park & Ride service and are introducing additional stops to make it easier for people to access the places they need to get to.”

Stagecoach said the revised stopping arrangements would make the service more accessible for people travelling to work, education and other destinations along the route. The changes were designed with Devon County Council to respond to customer feedback and improve journey reliability.

Separately, from the same day, Exeter College students travelling from South Molton will be able to reach the city without changing buses at Tiverton. The 6.35am weekday departure from South Molton will continue as the 7.30am Service 355 from Tiverton Bus Station, arriving in Exeter at 8.35am. Stagecoach said the change followed requests from students.

Elsewhere, Service 95 between Exmouth and Sandy Bay will finish for the 2026 season and is due to return at Easter 2027.

Passengers are encouraged to check the latest timetables at stagecoachbus.com before travelling.
