Here’s what’s happening in Exeter this weekend

Fancy a fright or two? From Halloween happenings for all ages to comedy and a foodie fair, Exeter has plenty to keep you entertained this weekend.

1. Silent Disco at the Museum (Sat, 31 Oct)

Head to the RAMM on Queen Street for a night of dancing at this suitably spooky silent disco. Dress up for a Night at the Museum-themed evening – think explorers, emperors, Vikings, ancient queens or prehistoric creatures – then grab your headphones and choose your soundtrack from the different music channels. A wonderfully unusual way to spend Halloween night, with plenty of opportunity to get into character. Kicks off at 7pm.

2. Tom Davis: Spudgun (Sun, 1st Nov)

Comedian Tom Davis returns to the stage with a fresh batch of observations on life, delivered with the larger-than-life energy that has made him a familiar face on both TV and the comedy circuit. The Wolf and Owl podcast co-host and star of Murder in Successville and King Gary also appears in Wonka, Paddington 2 and The Curse. 7.30pm at The Great Hall.

3. Vegan & Vegetarian Autumn Fayre (Sat, 31 Oct)

Exeter Phoenix is hosting a foodie fayre this Saturday. Expect a celebration of plant-based food and drink, with local vendors serving up everything from savoury bites to sweet treats, including stalls from Happy Sprout, Naturally Bread, Veafy and The Vegan Pasty Company. 11am-5pm.

4. Halloween at RHS Rosemoor (On now until 1st Nov)

There’s spooky half-term fun for little ones at RHS Rosemoor, with a plant trail taking visitors through the garden in search of strange-looking species, poisonous plants and plants with intriguing folklore attached to them. On Saturday 31 October, families can also drop into the Garden Room for Halloween-themed crafts, with sessions running from 10.30am–12.45pm and 2pm–3.45pm.

5. Pumpkin Fest ( on now until Sat, 31 Oct)

Pumpkin Fest returns to Darts Farm for another season of autumnal fun, with tens of thousands of homegrown pumpkins, elaborate displays, live entertainment, roaming performers and face painting. There’s plenty to keep everyone fuelled, too, from toasted marshmallows and pumpkin lattes to cheese toasties. Open 10am–4.30pm, with last entry at 3pm, on 10–11, 17–18, 24–25 and 26–31 October.
