A renowned alternative comedian and political activist brings his new show '40 in stand-up years' to Exeter next month.

One of the UK’s “oldest surviving” alternative comics is set to bring his show to Exeter next month.

With a career spanning four decades, comedian and political activist Mark Thomas returns to the stage with his new show ‘40 in stand-up years’.

Mr Thomas describes himself as a “libertarian anarchist”. His comedy is both “political and personal” and has said he aims in this new show to “turn ‘what the f*ck is going on’ into a cogent evening of stand-up”.

Mr Thomas has received eight awards for performances throughout his career, as well as four awards for his human rights work (and a Guinness World Record for holding 20 protests in 24 hours!).

The new tour has already received five-star reviews from titles including the British Theatre Guide, The Reviews Hub, and On the Mic, who called Mr Thomas’ performance “as relentlessly energetic… as ever”.

You can see Mark Thomas at Exeter Phoenix, Gandy Street on Thursday, December 3.

Tickets start from £15 and are selling fast. You can secure your seat here.
