Everything you need to know about Exeter Cathedral Christmas market

The Exeter Cathedral Christmas market is set to return for the 2026 festive season - here’s what you need to know
Exeter’s “much-loved” festive fixture is back for 2026 - here’s what you need to know to make the most of your visit.
What’s on
Exeter Cathedral Christmas market’s 2026 trader-line up features over 100 businesses. Visitors will be able to browse both returning favourites and new, independent artisan makers.
Organisers promise “the chance to find something special that the High Street can’t offer”.
New for this year is a “unique” tipi-bar experience. Organisers say the bar offers a “more relaxed and flexible way” to celebrate the festive season, explaining guests can purchase food from traders around the market before heading to the tipi-bar for a drink.
It is also understood there will be regular live performances from acts including magicians, dancers, and singers.
For those wanting to experience a piece of history, Exeter Cathedral is running an “entry by donation” offer.
Adult entry to the Cathedral normally costs £12.50. This winter deal allows you to visit the Cathedral for whatever amount you can afford - or more if you are able, as the money donated goes towards preservation of the building.

Its opening hours are:
- Monday to Wednesday: 10am to 7pm
