Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery (RAMM), stealing 17 antique pocket watches and a rare flintlock blunderbuss with a bayonet.
Officers were called to Queen Street around 5AM on Wednesday 10 September after two suspects forced entry into the building.

Detectives have now released images of two individuals they wish to identify in connection with the burglary. Both suspects, believed to be men, were dressed in black and riding bicycles. Police say they may also have Liverpudlian accents.
While the quality of the images makes identification difficult, officers hope that someone in the community may recognise the pair or have further information.
The stolen items are of significant historical and cultural value, with pictures of some of the pocket watches released by police to assist the appeal.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area around the time of the burglary, or who has information that could help us recover these unique items.”
Anyone with information, or who may have relevant footage, is asked to contact police on 101 or via the force’s website, quoting log 64 of 10/09/25.
