Hydrating Face Masks – A perfect self-care treat, sheet masks infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or collagen provide instant hydration and glow. The Images Skincare hydrogel mask is an expensive option but so worth it. There are plenty of options in larger Boots stores as well.

Luxury Face Serums – Choose a serum with nourishing ingredients like niacinamide, retinol, or peptides to keep the skin youthful and radiant. I also love a facial oil – the Nuxe range is very good and getting a lot of great reviews.

Silky Night Creams – A deeply hydrating night cream with ceramides and antioxidants makes for an indulgent bedtime ritual. I opt for the Image Ageless range but some of the big high street brands have great options too.

Gua Sha or Jade Roller – These beauty tools help de-puff, sculpt, and promote circulation, leaving skin looking refreshed, I’ve also got a pair of glass rollers that are amazing straight from the freezer –  from the Botanics range at Boots.

Wellness & Self-Care Gifts

Wellness is the foundation of beauty, and a gift that nurtures the mind and body will be cherished. I absolutely love the White Company and Jo Malone for my Aromatherapy Diffuser & Essential Oils – Scents like lavender, rose, and sandalwood promote relaxation and create a spa-like atmosphere at home.

I love a bubble bath and will definitely be treating myself over Valentines form the range at Rituals. Their luxury bath sets are just what I need  - bubble baths, bath salts, and bath oils infused with calming ingredients like chamomile or eucalyptus.

I love my Silk Pillowcase and Eye Mask – Not only do they feel luxurious, but they also reduce friction on skin and hair, preventing wrinkles and breakage. Mine come from a range at Bissy.

Whilst I love a glass of champagne or Prosecco I also drink a lot of herbal teas and of course my daily dose of collagen. A beautiful selection of herbal teas with ingredients like chamomile, hibiscus, and matcha is perfect for cozy relaxation – I love the range from the Exmoor Tea Company.

If you’re looking for the perfect pout, Valentines could be ideal time to make that investment. Whether you’re considering a significant investment like lip fillers or semi-permanent makeup (Naomi Capello is amazing - check her out on instagram) or something more modest like a new lip gloss or lipstick. Here are a few of my top tips:

- Lip filler – do your research I would never consider seeing anyone other than a dentist, doctor or surgeon for aesthetic treatments. Make sure you’re making a decision based on quality and experience not cost.

- Semi-permanent makeup – do your research and find practitioner who has plenty of experience – lots of before and afters and testimonials can be a good indication

- Lip masks / products: L’Oréal have brought out a lip gloss that has a bit of a tingling pumping effect but I love the lip mask product from image Skincare which has long lasting and protective benefits – especially at this time of year when it’s cold.

- Hair removal – Just Waxing in Exeter offer a great range of treatments and here at Skin Southwest we offer IPL for a more permanent solution – ideal for that pesky top lip as well as other areas of the body!
