Police confirm driver reported to court after two-car collision near Exeter

Emergency services attended two-vehicle crash on Sidmouth Road, Aylesbeare, Devon, as driver reported to court and road closed for several hours.

Police have confirmed that a driver has been reported to court following a two-vehicle collision on Sidmouth Road in Aylesbeare this morning (Wednesday, 16 October).

Officers were called at around 9.55am to reports of a collision just outside Paddock Motors, Exeter.

Three people were taken to hospital by ambulance, though police said none of the injuries are believed to be serious.

The fire service also attended the scene, and the road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The road reopened at around 2.35pm.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “The driver of one of the cars has been reported to court for causing injury by careless driving.”
