The South West’s biggest indoor ice rink is gliding back into Exeter this winter, with Westpoint Arena once again transformed into a festive skating destination.

After drawing thousands of visitors in its debut season, Icescape Westpoint will reopen from Thursday 11 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, offering space for up to 400 skaters per session.

Organisers say the rink will cater for everyone, from toddlers finding their feet to adults looking for a night out with a difference. Parent and Toddler mornings will allow under-fives to skate for free and even pushchairs will be welcomed onto the ice, while Quiet Sessions will offer a calmer environment without flashing lights or loud music.

For those after a livelier evening, adult-only disco nights will bring music and dancing onto the rink, and Thursdays will feature two-for-one tickets, making it easier for families and friends to enjoy the experience together.

Jamie Dann, Operations Director at Icescape, said: “It was fantastic to see Devon embrace the rink last year. The atmosphere was incredible, with so many people enjoying the ice. We can’t wait to bring that festive spirit back to Westpoint again.”

Westpoint Arena, just outside Exeter and close to the M5, offers free parking and is promising to make the rink the heart of its winter celebrations. Tickets go on sale in early October, with savings for early birds who book online in advance.

For Exeter families looking for a festive day out without heading to the capital, the return of Icescape Westpoint means the city now boasts one of the South West’s most dazzling Christmas attractions right on its doorstep.
