Aitchison has been a regular starter this season
Exeter City midfielder Jack Aitchison says the Grecians are focused on themselves as they prepare for Saturday’s League One trip to Rotherham United.
City head north buoyed by last weekend’s 3-0 victory over Peterborough United, with hopes of securing back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Their hosts, meanwhile, have endured a difficult start to the new campaign.
“They have some good players in the middle of the pitch but always have that threat to go long as they have got two big strikers,” Aitchison said. “We need to focus on us – we did that against Blackpool and Peterborough and got the rewards. I think it will be a tough game, after a tough long journey, so we have to be fresh in the mind.”
Aitchison has been a regular starter this season after an injury-hit 2024/25 campaign and is relishing his return to form.
“I’ve been working hard this season and am enjoying my football,” he added. “I want to add more goals and assists to my game, but I feel that I’m playing well at the minute.”
