USA Eagles centre Gabby Cantorna has signed a new contract with Exeter Chiefs Women, extending her stay at Sandy Park into a sixth season.

The 29-year-old has been a key figure in the squad since the team's formation in 2020, making 70 appearances and scoring five tries. With 310 points to her name, she is the club’s all-time leading points scorer.

“I am proud to re-sign with the Exeter Chiefs,” Cantorna said. “This club is more than a team… it’s home. The support from the fans, the love I have for the community, and the bonds in this group mean everything to me. I’m excited to be staying put, and I can’t wait for what’s next.”

Cantorna, who was coached by her father at high school, earned USA Under-20 caps for three years before being named a Collegiate All-American in all four of her college seasons at Penn State. A four-time national champion, she won her first senior Eagles cap in 2018 against New Zealand.

She will join the USA squad ahead of the 2025 Pacific Four Series, continuing her international duties while remaining a central figure at Sandy Park.

Exeter Chiefs Women interim head coach Steve Salvin said: “Gabby is one of our most experienced players and her points tally speaks for itself. She is one of the founding players and it’s important to have that experience around as we develop our team this season. Gabby is also an excellent player who knows the game through and through, so will continue to be an invaluable asset.”

Cantorna was previously shortlisted for the Premier 15s team of the season and remains a fan favourite at Sandy Park.
