Exeter Chiefs' players are set to benefit from a new partnership between Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) and Physique Management Company, aimed at enhancing player recovery and welfare.

As part of the three-year deal, Physique will provide dedicated recovery packs to players across all PWR clubs, delivering key equipment to support recovery, injury prevention, and performance.

The comprehensive recovery packs, designed in collaboration with the Women's Medical Advisory Group and club representatives, include foam rollers, massage balls, resistance bands, and other essential products to aid in match preparation and rehabilitation.

Physique, with over 25 years of experience in providing top-tier sports healthcare products, will also supply everything needed by medical and physio teams, including pitch-side first aid, taping, strapping, and trauma care.

Simi Pam, a prop for the Bears and a locum doctor, highlighted the growing physicality of women’s rugby, emphasising the importance of proper preparation and recovery. “By collaborating with club representatives, the player packs will provide key equipment to support players both pre- and post-game,” said Pam. “Player welfare is at the heart of this partnership.”

Kevin Peters, Managing Director of Physique, echoed this commitment, stating, “Women’s rugby players have clear physio and medical needs to perform at the highest level. We’re looking forward to making sure player welfare remains a priority, working closely with medical teams to provide the best products and support.”

The partnership also includes the introduction of Tiger Tapes as the official taping and strapping brand for PWR, further ensuring that players have access to the best in injury prevention and rehabilitation.

This collaboration adds to a growing list of player-focused partnerships within the PWR, including deals with Canterbury, Estee Lauder, and Catapult, each aimed at elevating player performance, recovery, and overall experience.

With Physique’s support, the PWR continues to prioritise the health and well-being of its players, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed both on and off the field.
