Gary Caldwell is returning to his former club
Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts as the Gary Caldwell head to Wigan tomorrow (3pm Saturday February 10), a club that the City boss has a lot of history with.
Caldwell lifted the FA Cup with the Latics in 2013, during a five-year spell at the DW Stadium, and Saturday will be the first time the Scot has returned to his former club as a manager.
"It'll be good experience. It's a club I spent a long time at," Gary said.
"I still know a lot of people there, the manager, the assistant, the staff, but at the end of the day you're going there to win a game of football and come 3pm we are competing and doing everything we can to win the game.
"It'll be nice to go back, I had some great times there and hold a lot of memories there. I spoke to Graham (Barrow, Wigan asst. manager) last night and that was the cut-off, we agreed we wouldn't speak again until after the game over a beer.
"It'll be nice for my family as well, they will all be there. Let's hope it's a nice day, but also a good day by winning the game."
