Grecians back in a action after break

Grecians back in a action after break

Exeter City are back in action today (October 21) to take on Wigan Athletic in a 3pm kick-off at St James Park.

After a break of eleven days without a match, City return to action to take on Wigan Athletic for the first time since 1997.

Manager Gary Caldwell had a successful time at Wigan as both a player and manager. A five year spell as a player saw him famously lift the Emirates FA Cup in 2013. As the Latics manager he gained promotion to the Championship in 2016, winning the League One title.

The Grecians come into the match looking to return to form after a streak of four straight league defeats but would count themselves unlucky to come away from the Barnsley match without at least a point. Wigan also come into the match on the back of four straight league defeats.
