A 25-year-old man has been arrested following a police raid in Wonford, Exeter, where officers seized cash, a mobile phone, and substances believed to be Class B drugs.

The Exeter Neighbourhood Police Team executed the warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Monday, 20 October 2025. Police described the operation as “positive” and said it forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crime and antisocial behaviour in the city.

Preliminary testing suggested that the seized substance was cannabis, with formal testing to be carried out in due course. The arrested individual was interviewed and released on bail with conditions.

He has also been issued a Community Protection Warning (CPW), a written notice requiring individuals to change their behaviour that negatively impacts the community.

The warning includes conditions preventing the man from causing alarm or distress to neighbours, entering properties without permission, or hosting more than two visitors at a time at his address, including in communal areas. He is also required to engage respectfully with police and housing officers.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said the force is continuing to work closely with housing providers and other agencies “to prevent antisocial behaviour and crime within our communities.”

Police thanked residents for their support and cooperation, noting that community intelligence plays a vital role in ongoing efforts to make Exeter’s neighbourhoods safer.
