Exeter Halloween Run - Credit: Matthew Duriez
Hundreds of runners filled Exeter Quay this weekend for a Halloween-themed charity event organised by Exeter City Community Trust.
The popular Halloween Run, which sold out ahead of the weekend, saw people of all ages take on five- and ten-mile routes along the River Exe, many dressed as ghosts, zombies, witches and skeletons.
The run is part of Exeter City Community Trust’s year-round calendar of events, raising money to support local projects that help improve health and wellbeing through sport and community activity.

Jamie Vittles, chief executive of the charity, said: “It was great to see so many people turn out and get involved, especially those who went all out with their costumes. Events like this bring people together and help support the work we do across the city.”
The next event in the charity’s running series is the Santa Run, taking place on Sunday, December 7, with a 2.5k family fun run and 5k race planned through Exeter city centre.
Details and sign-ups are available on the Exeter City Community Trust website.
