Music from the 1960s will take centre stage in Exeter next month as Oh What A Nite!, a tribute to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, comes to the Exeter Northcott Theatre on Friday, 7 November.
The performance features popular songs such as Sherry, Beggin’, December 1963 (Oh What A Night), My Eyes Adored You and Grease. The show traces the group’s origins, their rise from working-class beginnings to international success, and the challenges they faced along the way.
The cast includes Matt Andrews, known from ITV’s Superstar, as Frankie Valli, with Johnny O’Connor as Nick Massi, Toby Beal as Tommy DeVito and Michael Cosgrove as Bob Gaudio. The production also features comedian Leye D Johns as host, adding moments of light-hearted commentary between performances.

The show is produced by The Jersey Beats and presents a mix of live singing, choreography and visual backdrops. It originally launched in Blackpool in 2013 and has since toured venues across the UK, attracting audiences of various ages with its blend of music and nostalgia.
A local resident from Heavitree, Sarah Lawrence, said: “It’s great to have something like this in Exeter. I grew up listening to these songs with my parents, so it is nostalgic but still fresh and energetic.”
Adding to this, Emma Reid from St Thomas commented on how these shows will contribute to the city’s culture: “It brings more people into the city centre for food, drinks and theatre, which is good for local businesses. It’s nice to see Exeter hosting more national productions.”
For Exeter, the performance adds to the Northcott Theatre’s wider programme of touring musicals, dramas and live entertainment. With its location on the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus, the theatre has become a regular stop for national tours while showcasing local and regional performances.
Tickets for Oh What A Nite! are available via the Exeter Northcott Theatre website, starting from £30.50. Seats are expected to draw interest from fans of 1960s music, musical theatre enthusiasts and local residents looking for live entertainment.
