A person has been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash on the A379 Bridge Road in Exeter on Tuesday morning (October 21).

Devon and Cornwall Police said the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The collision, reported at 11.15am, temporarily blocked both directions between the Matford Roundabout and Countess Weir Swing Bridge.

Traffic quickly built up along the A379, with queues reported towards Exminster and the A3015 Topsham Road junction.

The road closure has since been lifted with the road opening shortly before 12:50pm.
