Commuters faced delays in Exeter this morning (September 23) after a lorry struck a lamppost on Topsham Road.
Police were called to the scene at around 7am and the road was partially blocked while highways and a utility company worked to remove the damaged lamppost.

AA Traffic News showed heavy delays in the area at the time of the incident, with vehicles queueing as the road was restricted.
Police told Exeter Today: "We were called at 7am to a report of a lorry having knocked a lamppost on Topsham Road. The road was partially blocked to allow for Highways and the utility company to remove the lamppost. The road was cleared at around 8.45am."
The busy route, which connects into central Exeter and is widely used by commuters across Devon, was cleared at about 8.45am.
No injuries were reported.
