Caitlin Taylor joins Exeter Today as new reporter

I am delighted to be joining Exeter Today as a reporter.

Having recently completed a Master's degree in Media and Communications at the University of Exeter, I am now based in the city and excited to begin this new chapter in my journalism career. 

At university, I gained experience across student and digital media as Editor-in-Chief of The Tab Exeter, a writer and social media intern for The Tab, and a contributor to Razz Magazine, where I interviewed and reviewed theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe.

I also hosted podcasts for Xpression FM and created TikTok interviews for The Tab, building skills in both broadcast and short-form storytelling.

At Exeter Today, readers can expect fair, accurate, and engaging reporting from me. I aim to highlight community voices, celebrate Exeter’s culture and creativity, and provide clear coverage of the issues shaping daily life in the city. My goal is for readers to feel both informed and represented in the stories I share.

Outside of journalism, I enjoy going to the gym and writing as a creative outlet. These hobbies help me stay energised, balanced, and ready to take on the demands of reporting.

Exeter is a city full of history, culture, and inspiring people, and I am excited to bring their stories to life. I look forward to helping Exeter Today remain a trusted source of news while shining a spotlight on the people and events that make the city unique.
