Devon police 'increasingly concerned' for missing Exeter man last seen near hospital

Devon police urgently appeal for information after a 22-year-old man was reported missing early Monday morning near the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Anyone with details is asked to call 999 quoting log 86 of 21 July.

Police are increasingly worried about the welfare of James Merrifield, 22, who has been reported missing from the Exeter area.

James was last seen leaving the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital at approximately 4.30am on Monday 21 July.

He is described as a white male, around 5 foot 10 inches tall, with short brown hair and clean-shaven.

At the time he went missing, James was wearing a black hoodie, grey jogging bottoms, blue and black trainers, and carrying a small black shoulder bag.

Anyone with information on James’s whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately on 999, quoting log 86 of 21 July.
