InExeter is set to celebrate the 25th edition of the popular Fore Street Flea on Sunday, 17 November, marking the final Flea of the year with a touch of silver and plenty of local flair.

Since its launch in 2016, the Fore Street Flea has become a beloved event in Exeter, transforming Fore Street into a bustling marketplace and community hub.

Visitors to the Flea can browse an eclectic mix of stalls featuring vintage treasures, quirky home décor, handmade crafts, unique artwork, and a wide variety of delicious food and drink options.

Live music and family-friendly entertainment add to the welcoming atmosphere, making it an appealing Sunday outing in the West Quarter.

Hayley Maker, owner of Sacred Grounds in McCoy’s Arcade and a founding member of the Flea, explained: “The idea behind the Flea was to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of the West Quarter. The market perfectly complements the area’s independent businesses and cafes. It’s been amazing to see how it’s grown in popularity and become a staple event for Exeter.”

Originally founded by Fore Street’s independent businesses, the Flea has grown under the management of InExeter, the city’s Business Improvement District, which stepped in to support its development.

Now a self-sustaining event, the Fore Street Flea highlights the best of the West Quarter while providing a fun and vibrant experience for locals and visitors alike.

Nicola Wheeler, CEO of InExeter, commented: “The Fore Street Flea is so much more than a market—it’s a celebration of Exeter’s community spirit. From businesses that originally envisioned the event, to small start-ups getting their first experience of trading, to the loyal visitors who mark their calendars for every date, the Flea has made a lasting impact. We’re proud to support this business-led initiative and look forward to continuing our work with local businesses.”
