There are a series of planned road closures along Cowick Street in Exeter across multiple dates in November.

Between Monday, November 18 and Thursday, November 21, Devon Highways will be undertaking overnight patching works on the B3212 street near the St Thomas Social Club between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

Due to the nature of the works, a road closure will commence at 8pm.

Devon County Council has said that the diversionary route for traffic will be signposted, and advance signs will also be placed on the highway.

It also explained that drivers with local knowledge will be able to use alternative side routes, but that these will not be publicly advertised for safety reasons.

There is another planned road closure at the other end of Cowick Street the following week, between Monday 25 and Wednesday 27.

South West Water are carrying out utility repair and maintenance works to repair two manholes in between Cecil Road and Exeter St Thomas train station.

It is unclear whether the road will be closed for some or the whole three-day period, but the works will impact the carriageway only.

People are being advised that the above closures could cause delays to their journeys.
