South West supercar show will feature two Formula 1 cars

Visitors can get up close and personal to some of the world's most impressive sports cars

South West supercar show will feature two Formula 1 cars

Following the success of its most recent summer car show, Sanctioned UK has revealed the details of its final event of the year.

The South West’s largest supercar show is returning to the Matford Centre on Saturday, October 19, for a season finale that rivals its predecessors.

Car enthusiasts flocked to the previous car show in August after it was announced that Michael Schumacher’s original, fully operational Formula 1 car would be on show.

Now, those who missed the summer event have another chance to see not only the car Schumacher raced during the 1993 F1 season but also a 2008 Honda driven by Rubens Barrichello throughout the 2008 season.

Organisers have arranged for both genuine F1 cars to be started, giving attendees a live demonstration of what their powerful engines sound like.

Also appearing at the event are Sporting Bears, a group of volunteers and car enthusiasts who donate their time to raising money for charities by offering “dream passenger rides” in exchange for donations.

Visitors can choose from a selection of vehicles, from supercars to classics, and enjoy a 20-minute passenger experience.

100 per cent of the money raised by Sporting Bears at the Sanctioned season finale will go to Children’s Hospice South West.

Children's Hospice is a charity that provides hospicare for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions.

Confirmed cars in attendance include a Ferrari SF90, a Ferrari 458, and a Ferrari 488 Pista.

There is also a raffle, where for £2 a ticket, a lucky participant will win a passenger ride in the Pagani Huayra Roadster, a hypercar worth over £3.5m.

The event will take place between 10am and 3pm at The Matford Centre, and tickets are available to buy here.
