Today, Tuesday, September 24, there are ongoing traffic delays on Topsham Road in Exeter due to tree maintenance and a recent crash.
At 11:14am, Devon County Council Highways alerts page, Devon Alert, announced the delays on X.
Devon Alert said: “Due to tree works, there are temporary lights on Topsham Road, Exeter. Please avoid the area if possible and expect delays.”
At 11:57am, Devon Alert announced additional traffic delays due to a road traffic collision (RTC) along the same road.
The most recent alert said: “There has been a RTC by the Shell Garage at Countess Wear roundabout (Rydon Side). Please approach the exit with care.”
The A379 Rydon Lane Westbound is reportedly partially blocked due to the accident, and traffic is moving slowly.
At 12:07, Devon Alert announced that the road traffic collision has cleared.
Motorists are still advised to avoid the area.
Update: As of 1:47pm, the area has now cleared.
