Guests had festive fun
Exeter Chiefs Foundation hosted a lively Christmas Lunch on Thursday, December 14 at Sandy Park which raised almost £30,000 for their charities.
The charity proceedings from the lunch will be spread to over 28 charities in Exeter by the Chiefs Foundation.
Tony Rowe CBE, CEO and Chairman of Exeter Rugby Club, greeted the jolly Christmas lunch crowd and praised the work of the club in the local charitable community.
“It was remarkable to raise such a commendable total for our Foundation. I was honoured to welcome our festive guests this week and I would like to sincerely thank everyone in attendance for their generosity.”
Demi Keenan, Secretary of Exeter Chiefs Foundation, was delighted with the outpouring of festive cheer at the event.
“The lunch went incredibly well – everyone had a wonderful time and I received so much positive feedback. The food was the best to date, the silent auction was successful, and our compere David Flatman was a superstar – as funny as ever!”
The Exeter Chiefs Foundation is currently supporting more than 28 charities in and around Exeter and to date has raised close to £3m for all the charities they work with – hoping to reach the milestone very soon.
