Independent insurance broker Lockton has been confirmed as the sponsor of two standout categories at the Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) Legal Awards 2025.
The global firm will sponsor both Chartered Legal Executive of the Year and Support Team Member of the Year – two categories that shine a spotlight on the people who help legal practices thrive, both in client-facing roles and behind the scenes.
With a long-standing commitment to serving the legal sector, Lockton is known for providing tailored risk and insurance solutions to law firms across the UK. The firm’s sponsorship recognises the vital role played by Chartered Legal Executives and support staff in delivering excellent client outcomes and upholding high professional standards.
Chartered Legal Executive of the Year honours an individual who has demonstrated exceptional legal knowledge, client care and commitment to continuous professional development. The award reflects the growing importance of legal executives within modern practice – and their often career-defining contribution to firms and clients alike.
Support Team Member of the Year, meanwhile, recognises the outstanding contribution of non-legal professionals – from administrative support to marketing, HR and IT. It’s a chance to celebrate the individuals who keep legal firms running smoothly and support solicitors in delivering their best work.
The DASLS Legal Awards take place on Thursday 19 June 2025 and bring together firms and professionals from across the region to celebrate excellence in legal practice, innovation and service.
With more than 9,500 Associates operating in over 125 countries, Lockton is the world’s largest privately owned insurance broker. In the UK, its specialist teams work closely with legal practices to provide tailored risk management and insurance solutions that meet both commercial needs and regulatory requirements.
We’ll be speaking with the Lockton team soon to learn more about their work with the legal sector – look out for the full Q&A coming soon on Exeter Today and in the next issue of Exeter Tomorrow.
