New faces at Walker Family Law

The new recruits to Walker Family Law

Walker Family Law has recruited a number of new faces 2024 so far.

Here's your chance to meet the latest recruits!

Maxine Robinson joined the firm back at the start of the year in January and is a solicitor in the Care Team. Maxine has been qualified as a solicitor since 2002 and practiced as a civil litigation lawyer until 2006 when she made the change to childcare. She now specialises in child arrangements, care proceedings and pre-proceedings and PLO meetings.

Emily Lawrence followed in March, joining as a legal assistant in the Client Services Team. Her job is to assist0 solicitors with client enquires and setting up meetings for clients. Emily has an Undergraduate Degree in International Relations and Politics, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Law. She is now progressing her career in law and hopes to become a solicitor in the future.

Stephanie McAulay was then welcomed to the team in April as a solicitor in the Care Team. Stephanie has a degree in law from the University of Liverpool, she also completed qualifying employment and a work-based learning portfolio with CILEx to become a Chartered Legal Executive. At the same time, she returned to university to obtain the postgraduate qualifications to qualify as a solicitor in 2022. Stephanie now specialises in child arrangements and children and social services cases.

Helen Handley also joined the business in April, as a solicitor in the Divorce and Relationships Team. She qualified as a solicitor in 2001, practising in the City of London and in various multi-national companies in the UK and abroad, until she discovered her true calling for family law in 2019. Helen now specialises in divorce, separation and finances, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, unmarried couples, child arrangements and domestic abuse.

In May, Hollie Knapman was welcomed into the Care Team as a solicitor. Hollie qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and is a Children Panel Member. She can assist in all private and public law children matters and will always offer a robust but empathetic service to her clients. Hollie is based in the Taunton office and specialises in child arrangements, private law orders, children and social services and adoption.

Kimberley Bailey was next to join the team in June, coming on board as a solicitor in the Divorce and Relationships Team. Kimberley is based in Bristol and covers clients across Bristol and surrounding areas. She is a member of Resolution and is committed to a non-confrontational approach to achieve an effective outcome for her clients. Kimberley specialises in divorce, separation and finances, unmarried couples, child arrangements, internal relocation, grandparents’ rights and domestic abuse.

In June Walker Family Law also welcomed Hannah Gooding and Roshni Patel, both as paralegals in the Care Team. Hannah has recently graduated after completing her LLB in Bristol and has the aim of qualifying as a solicitor in the near future. Roshni has recently completed her LLB with Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Wales. She then stayed on for an additional year to complete her Masters and LPC before moving to Devon to work here at Walker Family Law.

The most recent newcomer is Charlotte Whitehead, who joined the team at the end of June as a legal assistant in the Client Services Team. Like Emily, her job is to assist our solicitors with client enquires and setting up meetings for clients. Charlotte recently graduated from Cardiff University where she studied Law and Sociology.
