Summer market returns to Princesshay

Independent traders and street food favourites are set to take over the city centre this summer

Summer market returns to Princesshay

A taste of summer is coming to Exeter as Princesshay’s Independent Market returns for 2025, bringing street food stalls, artisan makers and sweet treats to the city centre.

Running from 22 July to 17 August, the seasonal market will feature a changing line-up of local traders, including newcomers and returning favourites, across multiple locations in Princesshay.

Bedford Street will host a weekly rotation of artisan stalls such as Sassy Upcycling, Doggie Bakes, Coco, Sand and Silver, and Big Bakes, while Emma’s Soap will be back on the main mall outside Oliver Bonas with her eco-friendly soaps, accessories and homewares.

The start of the school holidays will also see the launch of Princesshay’s Summer Street Food zones, with vendors setting up across Eastgate and Princesshay Square.

Street food highlights include the return of the Great British Fudge Bus, a churros and ice cream kiosk, and bakes from Whisked. New this year is a Greek food trailer and a chocolate and strawberries kiosk.

Princesshay Marketing and Commercialisation Manager Hannah Overton said:

“We always love to enhance people’s experience when they visit Princesshay, and this summer is no exception with our mix of independent traders and foodie pop-ups. We look forward to welcoming visitors to explore the varied mix of retail and dining options on offer this July and August.”

The Summer Market will be open daily from 10am to 5pm.
