TASTE EAST DEVON FESTIVAL
Taste East Devon celebrates the region’s finest food and drink with a packed programme of flavourful events. Expect everything from vineyard tours and wine tastings to fermentation workshops, tasting menus and lively food fairs. This weekend’s highlights include tapas and live music at Coldharbour Field Kitchen, and The Big Pick at Courtney’s of Whimple Cider Orchard — where you can pick, press and relax in this ancient cider orchard.

EXETER QUAYSIDE FARMERS’ MARKET
Discover a taste of the region at the monthly farmers’ market on Piazza Terracina, Exeter Quayside (9am–1pm). Browse stalls brimming with locally sourced delights such as honey, chutneys, and seasonal vegetables, alongside non-food treats like freshly cut flowers. Held on the third Saturday of every month, the market is organised by Food Exeter, a charity dedicated to championing access to healthy food and supporting a thriving local food economy.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues (12A)
After 15 years apart, David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls reunite for one final concert. Joining them once again is documentary filmmaker Marty DiBergi, ready to uncover what the band has been up to - and to capture their long-awaited return to the stage. Packed with the same sharp satire, musical chaos, and rockumentary flair that made the original a cult - classic — plus a host of rock-star cameos - the film asks: will this be their glorious comeback, or another Stonehenge-sized disaster? DEVON OPEN STUDIOS
Devon Open Studios offers a rare chance to step inside the spaces where art is made: attics, garden sheds, coastal cabins and converted barns — as well as public venues like Positive Light Projects on Exeter’s Sidwell Street and The Sculpture School in North Tawton. Each space is brimming with creativity and personality, offering an inspiring glimpse behind the scenes. The events are free to attend and celebrate creativity at every level, from established names to emerging artists. In Exeter alone, around 30 artists will be welcoming visitors.
