After a steady start to the Sky Bet League One season, Exeter City are now under pressure to break a September slump that has brought four straight defeats in all competitions.

The challenge to break that unwanted run comes in the form of fifth-placed Huddersfield Town visiting St James Park on Saturday, and the Terriers will be buoyed by a strong EFL Cup display against the might of Manchester City in midweek, eventually going down to a 2-0 defeat but with their heads held high.

The Grecians were unlucky in losing to a late goal at Stevenage last week and performances have been generally positive, but they will also know another defeat could see City slip toward the relegation zone.

"They will come with a real positivity on the back of that game and how they performed. They are a huge football club who have been in the Premier League and Championship in recent times.

"We have to make sure focus on ourselves and do everything we can to impose ourself in the game and bring energy to the game."
