Exeter is gearing up to host several games
Rugby fans heading to Exeter’s Sandy Park for the Women’s Rugby World Cup this summer will be able to take advantage of dedicated shuttle bus services, thanks to Stagecoach South West.
The operator has confirmed it will run direct buses for selected match days in August and September, linking Exeter St David’s Station, Exeter City Centre (Cheeke Street) and Heavitree Co-operative with the stadium. Return services will run after the final whistle.
The special shuttles will operate for the following fixtures:
Saturday 23 August – France vs Italy (20:15)
Sunday 31 August – New Zealand vs Japan (14:00) & France vs Brazil (16:45)
Saturday 6 September – Canada vs Scotland (12:00) & Wales vs Fiji (14:45)
Saturday 13 September – Quarter Final 1 (13:00)
Sunday 14 September – Quarter Final 3 (13:00)
After each game, buses will return to the city, stopping at Heavitree Post Office, Paris Street (Stop 17), and Exeter St David’s Station.
Tickets will be available on board, with fares set at £3.50 single and £5 return.
Peter Knight, Managing Director at Stagecoach South West, said:
“We’re delighted to be supporting the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Exeter by providing fans with a simple, reliable way to get to and from Sandy Park. These shuttle buses will make it easier for supporters to focus on enjoying the rugby and the fantastic atmosphere at the tournament.”
