City boss Gary Caldwell has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to take on Blackpool in the first home league game of the season.

After losing on the opening day at Doncaster by a goal to nil, the Grecians have the opportunity to get some points on the board in front of a home crowd, but will be wary of the visitors, who were also beaten on match day one - 3-2 at home to Stevenage.

Caldwell said: "Saturday at 3pm is when we will be judged and we have to show that we are extremely well prepared. The players have trained really well this week but he have to show that.

"Blackpool lost first as well so they will be desperate for the points, and we know from previous matches against them they are extremely strong at this level, and they have shown that with the amount of money they have spent over the summer.

"They are one of the favourites for promotion so it's a challenge for us, but we are at home so it's a challenge we are looking forward to and we have to be on the front foot."
