Exeter City will begin their 2025/26 League One season away at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 2 August, as the full Sky Bet League One fixture list was confirmed.
The Grecians’ first home game will be against Blackpool on Saturday 9 August, mirroring the opening home fixture from 2023 which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Devon Derby returns to St James Park on Saturday 25 October, following Plymouth Argyle’s relegation from the Championship. The away fixture at Home Park is scheduled for Saturday 11 April, with both matches subject to change due to possible Sky Sports coverage.
Boxing Day brings a first-ever trip to the Cardiff City Stadium, with City facing the former Premier League side on Thursday 26 December. The Grecians will then travel to AFC Wimbledon on Monday 29 December, before welcoming Luton Town to SJP on New Year’s Day.
On Good Friday, Exeter travel to Blackpool before hosting Doncaster Rovers again on Easter Monday.
Manager Gary Caldwell welcomed the fixture release, describing it as an exciting time for players and fans alike.
“We all know now what the season looks like and the first trip is a long one,” he said.
“We have a lot of hard work to do before we get there, but we will look forward to that game with anticipation. It is a start of a season full of hope and expectation for every club.”
On the return of the Devon Derby, Caldwell added, “I am fortunate to have been involved in two already and they were both tremendous occasions.
We were ultimately disappointed with how they finished because we know that derbies are about winning and you have to give the supporters the bragging rights in Devon.
We will do our best to make sure we are on the right side because we know what this means.”
In the Carabao Cup, Exeter have been drawn away to Cheltenham Town in the first round, with the tie to be played in the week commencing Monday 11 August.
The club has also been drawn into Southern Group A of the Vertu Trophy, alongside Cardiff City, Newport County, and Arsenal U21s. The Grecians will host two games – including one against Arsenal – with all group-stage matches set to be broadcast live on Sky Sports as part of the EFL’s new domestic rights deal.
Tickets for August home fixtures go on sale from Tuesday 1 July for GOLD Supporters Trust members, followed by SILVER on Friday 4 July, and BRONZE on Sunday 6 July. General sale begins Monday 7 July.
Supporters are advised that those already holding season tickets must wait until general sale to purchase additional tickets.
