Exeter Chiefs Women prop Hope Rogers has been named in the PWR 2024/25 Dream Team after a standout season for club and country.

The USA Eagles international, who recently became her nation’s most capped player, finished as the Chiefs’ top try scorer last season and was also nominated for PWR Player of the Season at the Rugby Awards.

Interim head coach Steve Salvin praised her impact, “We already know what an outstanding player Hope is. She always makes an impact when she’s on the field and thoroughly deserves this accolade.”

Rogers, who made her 51st international appearance in the Pacific Four Series this year, said she was honoured to be included.

“This league is incredible and the competition is only getting harder across the board,” she said. “I’m grateful to be playing in the best women’s league in the world at the moment alongside and against some of the best players in the world, week-in-week-out.”

Meanwhile, young lock Kate Smith has signed a new contract with the Chiefs following the completion of her master’s degree at the University of Exeter.

The 23-year-old joined from DMP Sharks and made her PWR debut against Sale Sharks in November.

“I’m thrilled to have re-signed with Chiefs,” she said. “In the last two years, I have loved the professional environment that both the Chiefs and Exeter University have offered me… Needless to say, I am excited to continue my development here!”

Salvin added, “This contract will give Kate the freedom to make that next step into professional rugby and kick on in the PWR.”
