Exeter City Football Club has confirmed the home venue arrangements for Exeter City Women’s 2025/26 season in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.
After finishing an impressive fourth in their debut year at tier three, Abbie Britton’s side will continue to split home fixtures between St James Park in Exeter and Coach Road in Newton Abbot.
The decision reflects both league regulations and practical considerations. While St James Park is currently the only licensed venue within the city that meets FAWNL requirements, its natural grass pitch cannot accommodate every fixture.
Next season, at least three home matches will take place at St James Park, with the remainder hosted at Coach Road. The Newton Abbot facility, which features a resilient 3G pitch, has proven a reliable option for the team - including in February’s 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon, which went ahead despite poor weather that would have postponed games on grass.
Joe Gorman, CEO of Exeter City, said: “St James Park is at the heart of Exeter City Football Club, and there’s no doubt that playing there provides an incredible experience for our women’s team and supporters alike. It’s a venue that reflects the ambition and progress of the team.
“We’re fortunate to have access to Coach Road, which is a fantastic facility. Its high-quality surface and reliability make it an ideal venue for consistent, competitive football at this level.”
Further details, including matchday ticket prices and season ticket information, will be announced in the coming weeks.
