Exeter City Football Club is looking to recruit a full-time First Team Assistant Physiotherapist to join its respected Medical Department ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The successful candidate will work closely with the First Team Lead Physiotherapist to deliver injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services to the men’s senior squad, playing a key role in player performance and wellbeing.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a club known for its supporter ownership model, strong community ties, and outstanding record in player development. Exeter City is one of the few professional clubs in the country owned by a Supporters’ Trust, placing sustainability and community at the heart of its vision.
The new recruit will be responsible for assessing injuries, aiding rehabilitation and collaborating with medical, sports science, and coaching staff. Matchday responsibilities will include pitch-side support at both home and away games, requiring travel and occasional overnight stays.
The club is seeking candidates with a proven track record of working in a professional sporting environment, who are ready to bring energy, experience, and innovation to the medical department. The role demands a strong understanding of physiotherapy practices, a commitment to continuous professional development, and a collaborative, player-centred approach.
“We’re proud of the inclusive and accountable culture we’ve built here,” the club said. “This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s driven to support player health, share their knowledge, and grow as part of a forward-thinking team.”
Applications must be submitted via the club’s People HR platform by Friday 25 April 2025. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Exeter City FC is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment.
