Exeter City seeks new academy coaches for 2025/26 season

Exeter City Football Club is recruiting for a range of exciting new roles within its Academy ahead of the 2025/26 season, with a focus on player care and technical coaching across several youth age groups.

The club, owned by the Supporters' Trust and known for its strong community roots, has built a national reputation for developing homegrown talent. With the next generation in mind, applications are now open for full-time, part-time and casual positions, starting from 23 June 2025.

Roles available include:

  • U11–U12 Cell Lead Coach 

  • U7–U12 Player Care Lead & Age Group Coach 

  • U13–U18 Player Care Lead & Age Group Coach 

  • Prime-Time Age Group Coaches 

  • U10 Age Group Lead Coach

  • U16 Age Group Coach 

Academy staff are expected to implement the club’s ‘Next Generation Plan’ and uphold Exeter City’s philosophy of developing technically skilled, resilient and well-rounded young footballers.

Rachel Penney, Academy Operations Manager, said: “These new positions reflect our ambition to invest in our young players and create a supportive, progressive coaching environment. We’re looking for candidates who are passionate about youth development and eager to grow within a thriving Academy structure.”

Exeter City’s player pathway is one of the most respected outside the Premier League, with first-team regulars often promoted from within the club’s own youth ranks.

The club places strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion and professional development. All successful applicants will require enhanced DBS certification and must be able to work legally in the UK.

Applications must be submitted by Friday 18 April 2025
