Exeter City will look to stretch their unbeaten run to seven matches in League One as they welcome second-placed Wrexham to St James Park this Saturday in a sold-out clash.

The Grecians are in strong form, having taken ten points from their last six games and kept four clean sheets along the way. But they face a stern test in the form of a Wrexham side pushing hard for automatic promotion.

Speaking ahead of the match, manager Gary Caldwell said:

"Good results breed morale and the players are enjoying their work and playing together, but ultimately we still have a lot to play for and a lot we want to achieve this season.

"Nothing is decided yet, top or bottom, and every game is important. Playing a team at the top lets us see where we are not only this season, but next season as well.

"It's a full house at SJP and we want to win at home in front of our supporters against a big team, which is something we haven't done enough this year. Saturday would be a great place to start."

Defender Jack McMillan, named in last week’s Football League Paper Team of the Week, is confident the team can deliver in front of their home fans.

"We're confident off the back of two home games and another three points would be massive. Wrexham are up there and going for promotion and we know how good they are,” he said. “We remember the game at their place when they turned us over. We've looked at a few things this week that we want to put right."

City lost 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in November, their heaviest defeat in League One so far this season.

This weekend’s fixture is also the club’s dedicated Green Football Great Save match, encouraging action on climate change through the power of the football community. Fans can also support the City Community Fund by donating their Eco Cup deposit to local charities.

With the support of a full crowd behind them and momentum building, Saturday presents a big opportunity for Exeter to continue their climb up the League One table and avenge their earlier defeat.
