Exeter City Women are back in action on Wednesday evening as they take on Plymouth Argyle in the Women's National League Southern Premier at Coach Road.
With the Grecians pushing for promotion and Argyle battling to avoid relegation, it promises to be another fiery Devon Derby under the lights.
City have already beaten their rivals twice this season, winning 3-0 in the league at Home Park before a dominant 5-1 victory in the second round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup. They will be aiming to make it three wins from three and maintain their momentum in the title race.
Plymouth, however, arrive in good form. Since James Bradley took over as manager in February, the Pilgrims have picked up crucial results, including a 2-1 win over Lewes and a late victory at AFC Wimbledon.
They also battled to a 2-2 draw against Billericay in their last outing, proving their resilience in the fight to stay up. With experienced players like Caitlin Smith, Georgia Wilson, and Ava Kuyken, Argyle have the quality to make life difficult for the Grecians.
Coach Road, the home of Devon FA, has become City Women's second home following their promotion to the third tier. The ground can hold up to 1,000 supporters, with 280 seated in the covered stand. Facilities include a licensed bar and a range of food and drink options, while parking is available on-site and nearby. Newton Abbot train station is just 0.8 miles away for those travelling by public transport.
With the Grecians chasing another big win and Argyle fighting for every point, Wednesday night’s clash is set to be another thrilling chapter in the Devon Derby rivalry. The bragging rights are on the line once again, and City will be eager to prove that Devon is indeed red.
