Young Gloucester outfit triumph at Sandy Park
Sitting second from bottom in the Gallagher Premiership with just two wins from 11 games, Exeter Chiefs have found some salvation in comfortably qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Premiership Rugby Cup.
However, hopes of a perfect record in the pool stage were denied by a young Gloucester side winning 14-22 at Sandy Park, and the Chiefs were close to full strength.
Stu Townsend gave Exeter the perfect start but his score was quickly cancelled out by Louis Hillman-Cooper crossing for the visitors. Both teams scored again before a penalty try sealed victory for the Cherry and Whites.
