Exeter College Women’s Rugby Academy
Support the Women's Rugby Academy on their 2025 adventure
Exeter College Women’s Rugby Academy is on a fundraising mission for a summer tour to Canada in 2025.
Partnered with Exeter Chiefs, the Academy is a group of 16- 18 year old girls, who alongside their studies, wish to pursue a career in professional rugby.
Each year the Academy produces a number of girls playing at Under 18 International level and for the last few years, the college has been in every RFU/AoC Performance ACE league final with this year culminating in the team being able to play the final at Twickenham.
They have also seen success at many 7’s competitions including the infamous Rosslyn Park 7’s, when this year 2024 the girls were victorious and won the tournament.
They are planning an exciting tour to Vancouver, Canada in the Summer of 2025. This is in association with Inspiresport. There will be 42 girls travelling on tour and the cost for each girl will be approximately £2300 with kit costs to add on top.
Exeter College is trying to fundraise as much as possible to meet some/most of the £2300 cost.
The focus of the tour will be the girl’s participation in numerous matches with local Canadian teams, providing invaluable experience.
2025 is also Women’s rugby World Cup year which will be hosted in the UK and will bring lots of publicity along with it for the ladies’ sport. Sandy Park, the home of Exeter Chiefs, has been named as one of the ladies World Cup venues.
The College said: “We are open to any donation and everything we receive is greatly appreciated. We are looking for companies and individuals to support us financially in return for business logos to be placed on our kit, or for the businesses to be mentioned and thanked in our social media pages.
“Between now and when we leave and whilst in Vancouver, the tour will be heavily profiled on all social media platforms (we have a dedicated social medial guru) on a regular basis and if desired, our social media lead can come into your business and directly promote it alongside the tour, with maybe a couple of the playing squad in attendance.
“Get your Tik Tok vibes ready!!
“There will be many opportunities for us to promote your business and, of course, a newsletter detailing all companies who have kindly sponsored.
“The girls will also be getting involved in organising their own fundraising events along the way and will include you in all the fun!
