Whitworth looking to maintain run of form

Joe Whitworth has kept four clean sheets in a row

Exeter City goalkeeper Joe Whitworth has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to face Shrewsbury Town away from home on Thursday evening, live on Sky Sports.

Whitworth has kept four clean sheets in a row heading into Thursday's match, and credits his team mates for the run.

He said: "It's a whole team effort to get clean sheets and it's been a great few games."
"Goalies are only looked at for clean sheets - but it comes from the front all the way down to me. But we have just come back from the international break so we are ready to kick on now."

"We have had the chance over the break to work on what hasn't been so good, and sharpen what has, so we are full focus into Shrewsbury now.

"There is no easy game in this league and they have been on a good run, scored five and got a good result at Bolton, but we are really looking forward to it and showing what we can do."
