Jack Aitchison will stay on until
Jack Aitchison has extended his current contract at Exeter City until the end of the the 2025/26 season.
The 24-year-old had one year remaining on his current deal at SJP, but has opted to commit his future to the club for a further season.
Aitchison has made 41 appearances for the Grecians this season, scoring four times for the club following his move last summer.
"This was an easy decision for me really," Jack said on the new deal.
"It has been going on for a couple of weeks back and forth but I always knew I wanted to stay here and having that trust from the gaffer and all the back room staff made it easy for me.
"When I joined I didn't really know what I was coming in to, such a long way from home, but after the first couple of days it felt quite homely and I have enjoyed it so far.
"I've been playing good I think on and off the ball, but obviously hitting those numbers and targets the gaffer and I have set myself, I'm a little disappointed not to have hit them, but to have played nearly every game has been brilliant.
"Goals and assists are obviously what people look at but I feel I'm doing all the other stuff really well and I think I've been a little bit unlucky but next season I feel like I can really kick on."
