Tenth league away win for City

Tenth league away win for City

Gary Caldwell described the win as 'unbelievable'

A resilient and characterful Exeter City recorded a tenth league away victory of the season at Northampton.

They did so with ten men following Ryan Woods' first half dismissal, with Luke Harris and Will Aimson scoring either side of a Jon Guthrie equaliser.

"It was another brilliant display of character and resilience," said manager Gary Caldwell.

"We were started by their team and they showed us respect, but when we adjusted and went to a back four we gave them a lot of problems, and we scored in that period.

"This team fights, it finds a way and it was another unbelievable win with ten men - something we've done before. That is resilience and character."
