Chiefs duo Lizzie Hanlon and Maddie Feaunati have been selected for England
Red Roses head coach John Mitchell has named a 35-player squad for the upcoming Guinness Women’s Six Nations Championship 2024.
And the so far uncapped Exeter Chiefs duo Lizzie Hanlon and Maddie Feaunati have been selected.
Marlie Packer continues as England captain. The Saracens skipper will reach the outstanding accolade of 100 caps when she next takes to the field for her country.
There are also first Six Nations call-ups for the uncapped Vicky Laflin of Trailfinders Women as well as Sophie Bridger (Saracens). The latter’s club teammate Sydney Gregson returns to the international fold after earning three caps in 2015.
Zoe Harrison (Saracens), Emily Scarratt (Loughborough Lightning) and Abbie Ward (Bristol Bears) feature in a Red Roses tournament squad for the first time since the 2022 Rugby World Cup final.
The squad of 35 has a combined total of 1,109 caps and contains 19 forwards and 16 backs.
