Caldwell pleased with the point

Gary Caldwell speaking after the game

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell was pleased with his side's point against high-flying Bolton Wanderers at St James Park.

City found themselves 1-0 down after a tough first half, but came out firing in the second half with a five minute double from Sonny Cox to turn it around, before a late equaliser from the visitors meant City would pick up a strong point.

Caldwell said: "I'm proud of the reaction and commitment they showed second half. They played on the front foot and were aggressive. I felt in the first half we were far too passive and there was too much doubt. Second half there was no doubt and we looked like a different team.

"We probably could have won the game but in the end we are delighted with the point. It's another point to the total and we've got nine big games to go. We have to show that commitment, effort and desire in the remaining nine games."
