Her Game Too weekend

Her Game Too weekend

The weekend's games will shine a light on the work of Her Game Too

Exeter City FC's men’s and women’s games at St James Park on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March will be dedicated to Her Game Too.

The men’s Sky Bet League One clash with Bolton Wanderers and women’s FA Women’s National League Division One South West fixture with Maidenhead United will shine a light on the work of the organisation in tackling sexism within football.

This will be the third time the club have hosted a Her Game Too dedicated weekend following a successful pair of matches in October 2021, when the men hosted Newport and the women hosted Plymouth Argyle, and March 2023 when the opposition were Lincoln City and Portishead Town respectively.

For both matches, the two sides will warm up in Her Game Too t-shirts and there will be stadium announcements, big screen graphics and articles in the match day programme about Her Game Too. Alongside this, Her Game Too will be providing mini-flags for supporters, and there will be a selfie board in the fan zone for supporters to grab some pre-match snaps!

Exeter City Women are flying in the FAWNL South West with a real chance of winning the league this season, and at time of writing are sitting pretty at the top of the division. City Women smashed their record attendance in 2022, when just under 3,000 fans saw them topple Bournemouth at SJP, and there club is aiming to beat that record again!

In order to get as much support for Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley's side as possible, City are running the Bolton Bolt-On promotion, which allows ticket holders for the men's game on Saturday to watch City women for just £1! Details can be found below.

Latoyah Egerton, the Her Game Too ambassador for Exeter City said: "It's fantastic to see the women's team return to SJP this season, and build on the success of a record breaking attendance for the women's team against Bournemouth season. The club has been a fantastic support to Her Game Too since it was started, being the first professional club to host a HGT weekend, and after 2 successful dedicated weekends it's exciting to be back again with both the men's and women's teams pledging their support for the cause."
