Caldwell unhappy with City's performance

Gary Caldwell being interviewed after the game

Gary Caldwell said his Exeter City were "poor" in their 1-0 defeat away to Lincoln City.

Joe Taylor's second half strike, which came from a defensive error, meant the Grecians could not extend their away winning run to four matches.

"We had the best chance of the game before they scored, but I don't think we performed well at all," Gary said.

"We were poor and we looked slow when we passed, and didn't look like we wanted to fight and win duels. We lost too many duels and got outbattled and lost the game.

"I tried to put players on the pitch with energy and speed and those who trained well, but when you are given those opportunities yoiu have to take it. I could have made more changes, I could have made less, that is something I will have to look at.

"Ultimately I pick the team and I take responsibility for that."
