Exeter City kick-off 2024 with a trip to Reading's Select Leasing Car Stadium on New Year's Day.
The Grecians will be looking to build on a great three days that saw them pick up four points with a win over Wycombe Wanderers and a strong point against League leaders Portsmouth, as they look to pull away from the drop zone.
City's opponents are going through a tough time, and after a points deduction they find themselves in 21st in the table, a place below City. Last time out they drew 2-2 with Cheltenham Town.
City know that a win against a Reading side that sit below them on the table will help to move away from the bottom four and will be determined to go get the win.
City will be backed by around 1,200 fans on New Year's Day, and defender Will Aimson is relishing the challenge.
He said: "It will be a great game to play in against a huge club. The match earlier in the season here was a great game for the club. We are focusing now on Reading and how we can beat them."
"I've said countless times how well the fans travel for us. Away wins are the best wins in football - there is nothing better than winning on the road with a strong support. They follow us all over the country and we really appreciate them!"
