The application is for a licence to run a bar in Paris Street
The owners of a Devon bar are hoping to bring their second site to a central location in Exeter.
Tomato Bar, which operates in the heart of Tiverton town centre, has lodged an application for a licence to run another site in Exeter’s Paris Street.
The site looks like it will be opposite Exeter City Council’s headquarters on the key route through the city.
The application has been submitted by Ahmad Babolhavaeji, who is also named as a director on Companies House in relation to the Tiverton site.
The Exeter location looks set to be called The Tomato Lounge, and plans to be able to sell alcohol and play recorded music from 9am-midnight on Monday-Wednesday, until 1:30am in the morning on Thursday-Saturday, and until 10pm on Sunday.
It also wants to be able to play live music until midnight Monday-Saturday and until 10pm on Sunday.
Anyone who wishes to make a comment about the application can do so by 1 April. These representations must be made in writing and sent to the city council.
